My progress so far..

I did my monthly bf check today.

I lost 2.5% body fat.

I gained 2 lbs of muscle

I'm not too happy about my results. I worked my ass off. I'm doing things in the gym that I would have thought impossible a month ago. Now I have to kick it into high gear I guess. I want to win this contest. My team is doing well, but I'm not meating my personal goals.

So I'm going to HELL for a month! I have a circuit lifting program now. I do like 10 different exercises and then 5 mins on the stepper of death at breakball speed x 3 sets. Then I'm going to join a boxing gym as well and start pushing myself there as well. I think the competition will push me further.

Diet is my most important thing though. I have not been able to stick to a low carb diet because I have not been mentally strong enough. I'm trying to erase the mentality that I've had for ... my whole life.. which is FOOD = RECREATION. If I can lose that mentality, then it wont matter what I eat.

Do not Fret my friend, Rather or not you win the competition at work. You still are a winner in your own right. Doing what your doing now (and that is becoming healthy) is a Victory in and of itself.

truthfully if winning is everything to you I would suggest the pirate diet (however some people don't like the long term side effects of this diet).

Other then that if you can't give up the carbs, try carb cycling as this may be easier for you to maintain rather then trying to cut out all carbs all together. also make sure that you aren't going to be doing to much and pushing yourself to far as injury could be jsut around the corner

Yeah,
I feel good about what Im doing in general. I know that in a years time, I will be in awesome shape, and I feel great about that. I'm definitely staying on track reguardless of whether I win or not... but I have 2 months to leave the pack in the dust.
So I'm going to war with myself. I'm going to be safe, but I'm going to find my limits too.
My goal by next month: 8% bf loss! Crazy? Good..lol.
My first battleground is on the dinner plate. There were times when I had greater ambitions and diet was easy. I have to redefine those ambitions and get motivated again.
