my knee =(

today I did some lunges and I think I messed up my right knee. it hurts when I bend or kneel. Walkin is fine....I think it was my form.... what are the best/proper way to do lunges? gahhhhh....
 
As a reference, there are tons of ligaments and tendons around the knee joint.

Sounds to me like you either strained one of these, you you have a pinched nerve.

I personally wouldn't bother with lunges. Bulgarian squats and regular squats do just fine.
 
i jumped off a roof.. now i cant peddle a bike or step up and put all the weight on my left knee.. when i FULLY extend my knee as far as it goes it hurts too. i cant put any weight on it when i walk, well only a little b4 it hurts or gives out..


any advice on this??? :( its been a week.

roughly my symptons, cant extend my leg straight out, cant curl my leg back, doesnt hurt when im just sitting, and when i lean on that side of my leg when im standing, it feels like my knee is gonna blow out the back of my leg.

after my mri. results= torn ACL...... so u better becareful, id go get it checked, pray u dint tear that baby :mad:
 
I lunges are important. It was most prob your technique that messed you up.

Try static lunges, so you keep one foot in front for a whole set, then swap legs.

Also, step ups are great.
