Tone up in 6 weeks

Is there any kind of exercise that people recommend for me to do to lose weight and tone up quickly?

I am around 138lbs, height 5"5 and I now eat healthily.

Some weight is slowly coming off and I seem a bit smaller.

I dance for 2 hours, go horse riding, skip and go to the gym (bike, cross trainer, treadmill and rowing machine).

First of all, losing fat is the same thing as toning. Toning simply means "losing fat, so your muscle underneath is more visible". nothing more than that.

However since you're doing everything BUT strength training, you lack lean muscle mass...so even as you shed fat, you don't have that toned, defined, 'athletic' look.
I would not call horse riding a workout...not for you at least. Dance burns calories, but its not what I call a workout, since you're already used to it.

Pick up some free weights. start doing full body workouts with weights, 2-3 times per week.

also, eating healthy means different things to different people. and while you might eat healthy foods, you may not be eating often enough, or not enough calories in general.

I have to agree with Malkore. You should definitely add weight training. But whatever you do don't expect overnight changes. At your height you don't seem to have a whole lot of pounds to lose.

A couple more suggestions, beyond using weights to further rev your metabolism:

Eat 5-6 smaller meals during the day. This will also help boost your metabolism.

Don't be shy with the weights. Women lack the testosterone to build lots of muscle, so lift heavy enough weights that your muscle is at or near failure when you've done 12-15 repetitions.

Muscle doesn't "tone". You either build muscle, or you lose it.

If you want to get lean in 6 weeks, look at your diet. Could it be cleaner? How many calories do you take in a day? Look at your diet first. Since you'll be dieting, keep the workouts low volume, since you are at a deficit.
