Dont Want Stretch Marks

Ive seen lots of guys at the gym with stretch marks all over their bodies, how do i prevent getting them too, is their anything i can take or is it just part of getting big???

You can try some products with cocoa butter in them. I beleive there is a product called "mothers" that works.

Don't be afraid of stretch marks......they are war scares.

^^Other than that, and doping up on Vitamin E.. there isn't much you can do, except work out less frequent to grow slowly :p .

i've heard topical treatment of vit E can help too. i'd recommend as someone already did, grow slowly to avoid them. i have them all over, been about 10yrs since they showed, they kinda disappear, but never entirely. might be a good idea to ask in the women's forums, these are prevalent in pregnancy, they may have other ideas for you

although ive never been overweight i did have a few stretch marks on my oblique areas from losing teenage puppy fat - i hated them with a passion.

even though i went to the gym regularly but not a lot, and doing mainly cardio, and played football and was generally active, they didnt go, i just accepted them

but in the last 6 months ive done a more rigid program with weight training and, having read your post, checked to see if there were there.

They've gone, ive done nothing than workout more 'properly'.

Alternatively, i saw a guy with massive amounts of stretch marks tonight, really noticeable. But then i realised that this guy used to be obese and has clearly worked his ass off enough to lose the unhealthy weight - and good on him. I think LV described them as 'war wounds'. Spot on.

yeah thats a great idea, u can find it real cheap at babies r us for about 99 cents a pack. also! stretch marks become nearly invisable once you tan also. they become very very light and blend in with ur skin.

The only real way, to prevent getting them, is going slower, while bulking up.

BTW: I have a question on this topic - Do stretch marks ever go away? If so, how long does it take (About)?

I've only ever noticed them on my thighs, since my lower body grows like a weed. I never really thought of stretch marks being an issue, because your body shouldn't grow that fast.. a pound a week or so right? I've always traced mine back to creatine loading when I'd gain 7-8 pounds in two weeks or so.
