What kinds of foods have protein???

I will be starting track soon in march and need to get in shape for the season. Right now I'm going to run everyday and do abs. I want to be able to lose weight with these workouts, but my problem is protein. I don't eat alot of it to begin with and I have no idea what foods have protein in them. If you could post what healthy foods have protein in them, that would be great.
 
meats are your main source for protien probably..

Tofu
Cottage Cheese
Tempeh
Saitain
Leafy Greens like spinach
Seaweed
Eggs
Milk
Cheese- can be high in fat too :(
Beans
 
Everyone made some god lists and I'll make one of my own:
Foods that are mostly comprised of protein:
Meats, especially lean meats
Fish
eggs (egg white is pure protein)
fat free cottage cheese
whey powder

Foods that have protein as well a significant amount of fats and/or carbs:
soy products
lentils
beans
quinoa
dairy
nuts
tempeh

You can be creative with your meats too. Beef, pork, turkey, chicken, ostrich, venison, turkey bacon, turkey sausage, deli meat, etc.
