A look at his career, and current status in the US Open
Roger Federer is currently ranked as the World's 2nd best professional tennis player according to the Association of Tennis Professionals. But former & current tennis players, tennis enthousiasts, and many fans alike, consider Federer as the greatest tennis player of all time.
Federer was born in Switzerland August 8th, 1981. He has been known in the world of tennis for over 20 years, and continues to improve his game every year. He has won titles from Wimbledon, The Australian Open, and The US Open, just to name a few. In total he has won 16 Grand Slam singles titles, and 22 career Grand Slam finals. To top it off, Federer had the number 1 title for 285 consecutive weeks, almost matching the record title holder Pete Sampras but falling short of one week.
It may be his calm collected demeanor on and off the court, or perhaps his extreme talent and love for the game; but whatever drives Roger Federer to success has really paid off.
Currently you will find Federer preparing himself for the semi-finals, and finals at the US Open 2010. Up until the semi-finals his game has been on, and despite the heavy winds, Federer has managed to play to his full potential. If he keeps up his game in the finals, he may just add another title to his status quo.
